Weekly Prayer Group
Every Wednesday from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. our Prayer Group meets to pray for joys and concerns of those in our community and our world.
This is a wonderful way to center yourself in the middle of the week. We pray silently from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. for those on our prayer list and then share time together about other things that need prayer. If you have a prayer concern you would like to add to our list, please submit it on a Prayer Request Card during Worship, or contact Helen Murphy or Barbara Kurtz.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Shawls and scarves are intended for anyone who can benefit from a token of love and support from the New Hope community. This ministry has many facets: You do not have to knit or crochet to be a part of its warm intentions. If you know of someone who needs to receive a prayer shawl, please let Julie Bruno or Pastor SoYoung know of this need. Also, if you could help to deliver prayer shawls or scarves this would be much appreciated. The third Sunday of each month all are invited to bring their knitting or crochet projects.
Prayer Chain
New Hope UMC is a church that prays together. Our prayer chain is just one illustration of this. When someone in our New Hope family is in need, the church office activates the prayer chain. Word is spread to designated callers who then call the remainder of our church community. As a community we are committed to praying for and with one another. If you are interested in learning more about our prayer chain or would like to participate as a caller, contact the church office.
